Cold Calling Perspectives
Cold Calling Perspectives
Have you ever noticed that with sales, negativity breeds negativity? The most successful sales people try to institute a positive attitude within their organization.
Negativity within the work place costs in terms of sales and revenues. Take action to ensure a positive workplace by setting daily motivation goals for yourself as well as your sales team.
Practice a positive daily attitude. Here are benefits to being positive:
- Attitude – Have you ever noticed that a smile is contagious. We always say when making sales calls- smile and dial. Attitude affects people the same way. If you have a great positive attitude-you will build rapport with customers and close more sales.
- Confidence – Believing in your product or services goes a long way. Sales people are not only pitching their product or service, but they are also promoting self for long term customer service. Contacts are more likely to buy from a sales person that knows their products and services – as well are those that are familiar with the benefits to using them.
- Motivation – Having a positive attitude will help achieve goals. Being successful with sales goals will assist with motivation. Motivation is a secondary thing to goals. If you are successful in achieving desired goals, motivation will be automatic.
Institute a policy with your sales team of no complaints. This will force sales people to become problem solvers. Taking on problems as challenges will enable sales teams to seek solutions instead of reasons as to why sales are not happening. It is better to be a problem solver than one who causes problems.
Leaders of sales organization should have the ability to set the tone for a positive attitude. Positivity is healthier, more stimulating, charismatic, and is quite the motivator.
